Changing Others to Meet Our Expectations

I spent this weekend visiting friends from my past, and I see my past self within them.  As I had done, they are still complaining about why people in their lives constantly make them unhappy and why they keep meeting the same kind of assholes.  My response to them was that they want to change the people in their lives to meet their expectations instead of changing themselves.

The reactions from my friends are resistance.  Why should I have to change myself when these people in my life are assholes?  Because their behaviors are mirrored within you, and you will continue to attract the same people was my answer.  If we don’t learn our lessons, the Universe will send yet another person to teach us the same lessons; thus, we live in this loop like seeing the same movie over and over again.

When we awakened, we realize that we are profoundly broken; we all are and it’s not a judgment because I am also.  Once we acknowledge this brokenness within us, we begin to do the difficult and gut wrenching work of facing our demons and pain.  Once we heal this pain, the demons will vanish, and so will the assholes. ~ Sahana (Copyright 2012 Kundalini Spirit with All Rights Reserved)

Connect with the Heart

Once we start to connect with the heart… we travel within and discover/unlock the magnificent beings we truly are.
It could be frightful in the beginning and even often throughout the journey… but if we keep moving forward and shining our lights bright… we begin to understand and accept ourselves… as well as the whole Universe.
A beautiful process that we must RE-member is a process… not a race.  We are all awakening and ascending in our own pace and in our own time.  This path may be lonely at times… but know and understand that the divine spirit is always within you.
One Love.  One Spirit.  One Light.

Body Image

A big problem for women and girls is that we are expected to be perfect that is to be thin and perfectly symmetrical in our features.  This rarely happens for any of us.  Most of the photos we see now are photoshopped, so by the time the images are on the Internet or magazine, it doesn’t even look like the person anymore.

For each of us, there is something beautiful about our bodies that we like.  I like my legs.  Some women have beautiful eyes, others have delicate hands, some have pouty lips, and others have inner beauty.  We must focus on the parts of our bodies and ourselves that we find beautiful, and not dwell on what we don’t like and want to change.  Embrace the body that you have and really look at what you like about yourselves.  Then, whenever you start to criticize about your body, remember what you love about it, because you ARE beautiful. ~ Sahana (Copyright 2012 Kundalini Spirit with All Rights Reserved)

The Fear of Being Left

As I was driving today, I wondered why I constantly fear being left by my lovers, that he didn’t really love me, and that he will leave me for another.  It then came to me in a flash.  I don’t feel worthy of being loved. Deep down in my heart, there is a gaping hole, buried in that hole is the belief that I am not good enough or that I am a bad person that is why I was not loved as a child.  This buried grief from childhood has left me insecure and afraid as an adult.  This realization left me speechless and sad; as I swept, I tried to comfort myself by telling myself that this is the first step to healing.

There are times in our lives that we come to realize things about ourselves.  These are things that others see very clearly, like our lovers, boyfriends, and husbands.  It is not something that we see clearly.  We cannot heal our pain until we first acknowledge that there is pain.  Now, we continue our journeys to heal that pain by giving ourselves love everyday, and reminding ourselves that we are all worthy of love, and that we are all good deep down inside.  Love you! ~ Sahana (Copyright 2012 Kundalini Spirit with All Rights Reserved)

Healing the Heart Chakra

Having been a victim of childhood abuse, I have many heart chakra related issues.  These issues involve lack of love, unable to give unconditional love, unable to receive self-love, unable to forgive, problems with relationships, fear of intimacy, depression, and loneliness.  I have suffered from all the above.  These issues manifest in our personalties with excessive energy as demanding, jealousy, co-dependency, poor boundaries, overly sacrificing, possessive, and deficient energy as antisocial, withdrawn, cold, shy, critical, judgmental, intolerant, loneliness, depression, fear of intimacy and relationships, lack of empathy, narcissism, and bitterness.  I tend to have excessive energy in this chakra.

Much of my emotional work recently surrounds healing the heart chakra.  I am learning to be more compassionate, the value of forgiveness, and to love unconditionally.  My healing strategies have included, freely and easily give and receive love, totally forgive others and myself for all past errors and judgements, learn that I am worthy of love, to love myself and others, that there is an infinite supply of love, and to live in balance with others.  I know these are tall orders, but we try to do this one day at a time on our respective journeys.  Sending my love to you ~ Sahana (Copyright 2012 Kundalini Spirit with All Rights Reserved)

Touching Our Inner Divinity

The experience of connecting with our inner Divinity through sexuality is a transcendent experience. That connection is made within yourself without another.  Within each of us, we have male and female parts of us, the Goddess Shakti and God Shiva.  We all have this within us.  For some of us, the male aspects are more dominant than female; it doesn’t matter if you are a man or woman.

Last night, Goddess Shakti came to me.  She is the most beautiful part of me that I have ever seen, both sensual and sexual.  As Shiva, I made passionate love to her touching the deepest part of her, pleasing her.   It is the ultimate form of self love, to be able to love myself and please my female self.  When your male self connects with your female self, you will feel the Divine within you.  This is called Divine Union.  It is a powerful, moving, and transcendent experience.  We spend our lives performing sexually, trying to please our lovers when what we need is to give this gift of love to ourselves through our own sexuality. Touch your inner Divinity…  ~  Sahana (Copyright 2012 Kundalini Spirit with All Rights Reserved)

Be the Love of Your Life

Recently, I have received messages about struggles with relationships. Do not lament about your conflicts and hurts with your lover.   First, have faith that we are here to learn from one another.  Each person we meet teaches us something about ourselves. They teach us to love each other unconditionally, forgive each other for our mistakes, forgive ourselves for our failures, love ourselves even when we are unlovable, not judge others because we are really just judging ourselves, and that we cannot change others to meet our expectations.

These are hard lessons for us to learn.  I have learned these lessons with a lot pain and hurt myself.  I have cried until I had no more tears, and felt pain so deep that my chest hurt.  This pain originates from our childhoods.   The fear of being left by our lovers is the same fear of being left by our mothers or fathers.  The pain of not pleasing our lovers is the same pain of not pleasing our parents.  Our fear of failure now is the same fear of not meeting our parents’ expectations.

Once we realize why we do what we do now as adults, we can begin to change our feelings about ourselves. Learn to touch that pain deep within you; cry, scream, or yell in a private safe place.  Then, tell ouselves that it is time to give that love to ourselves.  We must tell ourselves that we are worthy, loveable, beautiful, and talented, even if no one tells us this.  Believe deep in your heart that you deserve this now … .~ Sahana     (Copyright 2012 Kundalini Spirit with All Rights Reserved)

Our Struggles

For those of us where inner pain seems a constant companion,

We realize that we are not alone.

The world is full of pain for when we live, we experience pain.

With this pain, we realize we are alive.

It is our constant teacher and lessons teaching us who we are,

And where we’ve been.

Accept this as part of you that is neither good nor bad.

For we all have a past, although seems different, they are the same.

Don’t lament my dear friend, we are all in the same place,

Fighting our own demons that visit us in the night.

Be not afraid for we are all part of the same Universe.

Have faith that the Universe will care for us.

Love and peace to you ~ Sahana (Copyright 2012 Kundalini Spirit with All Rights Reserved)

The Silence

Silence so deafening that we fear going there.

It is not a place of fear, but one of serenity.

In this place, we sit with ourselves to find the truth within.

Here, bliss caresses us with pleasure and sensuality.

It is this silence that is our companion in life.

There are no others here to distract us from our purpose.

We find our paths here for our journeys forward.

It is where the truth lies.

The external world of need fades away,

Since the clarity of the world is seen from here.

Find this place within you, for it shall lead you to freedom. ~ Sahana (Copyright 2012 Kundalini Spirit with All Rights Reserved)

Vibrational Energy

We attract others based on vibrational energy.  We will attract others with the same vibrational energy; these can be friends, lovers, coworkers, acquaintances or strangers. This is called the Universal Law of Attraction.  This energy is created by our emotional fractures (ie, how healed we are emotionally) and is reflected in how balanced our chakras are and energy flow is.

During my recent transmutation of energy from a lower vibration mainly in my root chakra to a higher vibration in my crown chakra, I begin to attract different people that have similar vibrational energy. I find these people to be more compassionate, kinder, sensitive to emotions, and more giving.  I begin not to relate to people with the harder energy reflecting anger, rage, sarcasm, judgment, criticism, and self loathing.  We actually recognize those with our same vibrational energy as people we like, and do not recognize those with different ones.  This is the mysterious chemistry that exists between two people who are attracted to each other.

We can change our vibrational energy by healing those fractured parts of our psyche.  When healed, our vibrational energy will change, and we will attract kinder, more compassionate, and loving people into our lives.  ~ Sahana (Copyright 2012 Kundalini Spirit with All Rights Reserved)

Letting Go . . .

Last night, I realized that I have been waiting for my father's love that I never received as a child.  It was a painful recognition that this love will never come, and very painful for me to admit this to myself.  I have been hoping and hanging on, and I repeat this with every man I am involved with. It's time to let this go, and let go of this deep pain of sadness and loss. I cried all the way to work this morning, and felt just how deep that pain is.

It's time for me to let go of this pain for good.  This love will never come, and only I can give this love to myself. My love for me is enduring and forever. It can never to taken away. We cannot expect this love from another.  I give myself this love today and always . . . ~ Sahana (Copyright 2012 Kundalini Spirit with All Rights Reserved)

Beauty is in the Eyes of the Beholder . . .

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and that beholder should be you.  I have always been critical of the way I look.  My nose is too pointy, my thighs are too heavy, and my eye lashes are too short.  I never thought myself as beautiful.  I always waited for my lover and friends to tell me how I looked.  Body image is the way we perceive our bodies, so skinny girls can feel ugly too.

I recently saw myself for the first time, and saw that I am beautiful to me.  I have shapely calves and body, and delicate fingers and feet.  For the first time, I saw myself as others may see me. Even if someone doesn't think that I am beautiful now, I believe that I am. It is this belief that I carry within me wherever I go, and remember to love your bodies today and everyday. ~ Sahana (Copyright 2012 Kundalini Spirit with All Rights Reserved)

Balancing the Root Chakra

The center of physical energy and vitality, the energy to succeed in business or material possessions. Center of manifestations.

The Base or Root Chakra located at the very bottom of the spine, the Root Chakra governs issues around physical self-preservation. These issues include survival, security and safety, as well as primal erotic and procreational urges.

This chakra is the grounding force that allows us to connect to the earth energies and empower our being.

Every other chakra is downstream of it and only receives the energy that the root chakra can pass through to it. The path to health and mystical power goes right through the gender organs. To understand your root chakra, you must come to a place of peace with your sexual energy.

Throughout the ancient world in historical and mythological stories, the root chakra has been associated with dragons and snakes. Dragons is a symbol for the kundalini fire energy.

Root Chakra
Location: At the tailbone
Color: Red / Black
Tone: E
Note: C
Element: Earth
Sense: Smell

Balanced energy:Centered, grounded, healthy, fully alive, unlimited physical energy, can manifest abundance. Takes good care of the body. People who have open root chakras love their lives - love their physical incarnation in their present bodies.

Excessive energy:Egoistic, domineering, greedy, sadistic, sexual energy entirely genital. Judgment and biased opinions.

Deficient energy:Lack of confidence weak, can’t achieve goals, suicidal, sexual energy, feel unlovable, little interest in sex, masochistic.Fear and insecurity. Blockage in this energy center of the body can result in a core sense of unworthiness and self-doubt and shame.Thought forms such as “I don’t deserve love,” “I’m ashamed of who I am,” and “I’m always misunderstood,” are common in people with a blocked Root Chakra. They try to compensate for these feelings by acquiring, keeping and controlling material possessions, by becoming addicted to material things.

The ultimate root chakra failure is suicide

Illness:Drug addictions, anemia, cancer, arthritis, heart disease, gynecological problems, Aids, herpes, candida. Decreased immune system. Lower back pain. Constipation. Physical problems with the coccyx, anus and genitals are associated with the First Chakra.

Adrenals, kidneys, spinal column, colon, legs, bones.

Ruby, garnet, bloodstone, red jasper, black tourmaline, obsidian, smoky quartz.

Scents:Patchouli, cedar wood, lavender, musk, hyacinth, cinnamon and sandalwood.

How can you balance this chakra?
Dancing is very good for grounding. In the summer, go barefoot. House cleaning and cooking is also grounding. Hug a tree, take care of your plants.
Focusing on the color red can help bring your energetic body “down to earth” and in alignment with your physical body. Opening this Chakra by using colors, scents and crystals .

Positive affirmations for this chakra

- I know who I am and make choices based on what I know to be right for me.
- I am supported in life through all my choices to do good and share the light of love.
- My body supports me in living a creative and happy life.
- I am open to the spirit of life, which carries me beyond my original limits to a higher, more creative space.
- I am thankful for all the opportunities for growth and development that have come my way.
- I am grateful for the challenges that have taught me who I truly am.
- I love life.

When the energies or vibrations from two people’s chakras are mixed, the following takes place: the light from the one chakra affects the light from the other chakra, these lightwaves are mixed in a way, so they create different figures. The figures created by the lightwaves from the chakras become more beautiful, the more love there is between the parties

Inner Aloneness

We are alone,
we just don’t realize it.

It is this aloneness,
that gives us our identity.

It is this peace that is our solitude,
like still water.

So quiet, you can feel the gentle wind blow,
straining to hear it.

Soft like the pedals of a flower against our cheeks,
this aloneness embraces us gently.

It cannot hurt us; there is no pain,
just silence in deep cavern pools of crystal water.

It is this stillness that we feel when our souls whisper to us,
that it knows all the secrets that the Universe will reveal.

We are alone with oursleves,
every minute of every day in this silence. ~ Sahana (Copyright 2012 Kundalini Spirit with All Rights Reserved)

The 12 Laws of Karma

  1. THE GREAT LAW - As you sow, so shall you reap. This is also known as the Law of Cause and Effect. Whatever we put out in the Universe is what comes back to us. If what we want is happiness, peace, friendship, love…Then we should BE happy, peaceful, loving, a friend. Negative energy sent out to others will come back to you 10 fold.
  2. THE LAW OF CREATION - Life doesn’t just HAPPEN, it requires our participation. We are one with the Universe both inside and out. Whatever surrounds us gives us clues to our inner state. BE and DO yourself what you want to have in your life.
  3. THE LAW OF HUMILITY - What you refuse to accept, will continue for you. If what we see is an enemy, or someone with a character trait that we find to be negative, then we ourselves are not focused on a higher level of existence.
  4. THE LAW OF GROWTH - Wherever you go, there you are. For us to GROW in Spirit it is WE who must change and not the people, places or things around us. The only given we have in our lives is OURSELVES, and that is the only factor we have control over. When we change who and what we are within our heart, our life changes too.
  5. THE LAW OF RESPONSIBILITY - Whenever there is something wrong, there is something wrong in me. We mirror what surrounds us and what surrounds us mirrors us: we must take responsibility for what is in our life.
  6. THE LAW OF CONNECTION - Even if something we do seems inconsequential, it is very important that it gets done as everything in the Universe is connected. Each step leads to the next step and so forth and so on. Someone must do the initial work to get a job done. Neither the first step nor the last are of greater significance-they were both needed to accomplish the task. Past, Present, Future…they are all connected…
  7. THE LAW OF FOCUS - You can’t think of two things at the same time. You should climb up a ladder on step at a time. When you lose your focus you let in insecurities and anger.
  8. THE LAW OF GIVING AND HOSPITALITY - If you believe something to be true, then sometime in your life you will be called upon to demonstrate that truth. Here is where we put what we SAY that we have learned into PRACTICE.
  9. THE LAW OF HERE AND NOW - Looking back to examine what was prevents us from being totally in the HERE AND NOW. Old thoughts, old patterns of behavior, old dreams…Prevent us from having new ones.
  10. THE LAW OF CHANGE - History repeats itself until we learn the lessons that we need to change our path.
  11. THE LAW OF PATIENCE AND REWARD - All Rewards require initial toil. Rewards of lasting value require patient and persistent toil. True joy follows doing what we’re suppose to be doing, and waiting for the reward to come in it’s own time.
  12. THE LAW OF SIGNIFICANCE AND INSPIRATION - You get back from something whatever you’ve put into it. The value of something is a direct result of the energy and intent that is put into it. Every personal contribution is also a contribution to the Whole. Lack luster contributions have no impact on the Whole or work to diminish it.

The Change Within

It has been a journey of discovery for me in the course of my spiritual work. Since joining an outdoors club several months ago, I met many new people.  Among these people is a woman who I constantly had conflicts with, and I felt she was very disagreeable and difficult.  Every interaction ended in disagreement and argument.  My instinct was to avoid her, but I also know that there is something in her that I know is within myself.  The very thing that upset me about her is the very part of me that I dislike.

For two months after my last conflict with this woman, I worked on my self esteem, gave myself compassion, stopped my self loathing criticizing, and gave myself love that I lacked within.  I saw her again yesterday, and felt no animosity towards this woman. My feelings toward her was neutral and her behaviors did not trigger any negative feelings.  Once I change my inner landscape, I no longer experience the external conflicts.  This is possisble for everyone, so experience the change within you …~ Sahana (Copyright 2012 Kundalini Spirit with All Rights Reserved)

Learning Our Purpose

At different times during our spiritual growth, we discover our purpose for that time.  This became clear to me when I recently started a new job where I am helping disabled students and students coping with the aftermath of sexual violence.  In the course of my work , I realized that I am here to help these students with their life struggles. This experience is also to help me learn the Law of Giving under the 12 Laws of Karma.

I also realize that this is an opportunity to teach me humility and growth.  The Law of Humility is that what we refuse to accept, will continue for us. If what we see is an enemy, or someone with a character trait that we find to be negative, then we ourselves are not focused on a higher level of existence. The Law of Growth is wherever we go, there we are. For us to grow in Spirit, it is we who must change and not the people, places or things around us. The only given we have in our lives is ourselves, and that is the only factor we have control over. When we change who and what we are within our hearts, our life changes too. In my work, I must learn to work with everyone whether they are friend or foe.  It it the change within me that will allow me to work successfully with everyone here.

After this realization, I felt a flood of satisfaction and real sense of purpose for my external life.  This is why I am here now, and this is why I’m doing what I’m doing.  May you find your purpose in your life … ~ Sahana (Copyright 2012 Kundalini Spirit with All Rights Reserved)

Kundalini Existence

After the rise of my Kundalini, I experienced profound psychologically and physical changes within me.  The most dramatic psychological change is my feeling that the Universe will provide all that I need, and that I am one with the Universe; I now don’t need to look to my external world to find my needs.  What this has done is to allow me to live without fear.  I still pursue my career, relationships, and friendships, but they do not determine who I am.  Without them,  I will continue my existence as me.  This belief has changed my entire approach to my world. I don’t fear losing my job, a lover, or my friends.  I stay the course of the chosen path for my journey; I have found purpose in my life.

Kundalini also physically heightens and intensified our talents and problems.  For example, I know a Kundalini active woman who has autism, and now her illness has intensified. She also is a musician but now she is a composer and song writer after her Kundalini rose.  What Kundalini does is to force us to face ourselves in our full realities.  It’s like watching yourself at an Imax Movie Theater where everything is in your face and looming.  You cannot hide from yourself, or avoid seeing your true self in all its beauty and ugliness  … ~ Sahana (Copyright 2012 Kundalini Spirit with All Rights Reserved)

We live within the dark silence of our minds,

Fearing what we may find within,

The longing pain that calls to us to feel.

With no lover to distract our focus,

No love to dull the pain.

Searching for a way out,

The path to safety and sanctuary,

Nowhere to be found.

So around and around we go,

Moving like the speed of light through our lives,

Fearing to stop to face the loneliness.

It feels like the emptiness will terrify us,

And the pain may kill us.

There is no way out but to face our loneliness,

It is our companion and lover.   ~ Sahana

The 12 Universal Laws

1. The Law of Divine Oneness The first out of the 12 universal Laws helps us to understand that we live in a world where everything is connected to everything else. Everything we do, say, think and believe affects others and the universe around us.
2. The Law of Vibration This Law states that everything in the Universe moves, vibrates, and travels in circular patterns. The same principles of vibration in the physical world apply to our thoughts, feelings, desires, and wills in the Etheric world. Each sound, thing, and even thought has its own vibrational frequency, unique unto itself.
3. The Law of Action The Law of Action must be applied in order for us to manifest things on earth. Therefore, we must engage in actions that support our thoughts, dreams, emotions and words.
4. The Law of Correspondence This Law states that the principles or laws of physics that explain the physical world - energy, Light, vibration, and motion - have their corresponding principles in the etheric or universe. “As above, so below”
5. The Law of Cause and Effect This Universal Law states that nothing happens by chance or outside the Universal Laws. Every action has a reaction or consequence and we “reap what we have sown.”
6. The Law of Compensation This Law is the Law of Cause and Effect applied to blessings and abundance that are provided for us. The visible effects of our deeds are given to us in gifts, money, inheritances, friendships, and blessings.
7. The Law of Attraction This Law demonstrates how we create the things, events, and people that come into our lives. Our thoughts, feelings, words, and actions produce energies which, in turn, attract like energies. Negative energies attract negative energies and positive energies attract positive energies.
8. The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy This 8 out of the 12 universal Laws is a powerful one. It states that all persons have within them the power to change the conditions in their lives. Higher vibrations consume and transform lower ones; thus, each of us can change the energies in our lives by understanding the Universal Laws and applying the principles in such a way as to effect change.
9. The Law of Relativity This Law states that each person will receive a series of problems (Tests of Initiation) for the purpose of strengthening the Light within. We must consider each of these tests to be a challenge and remain connected to our hearts when proceeding to solve the problems. This law also teaches us to compare our problems to others’ problems and put everything into its proper perspective. No matter how bad we perceive our situation to be, there is always someone who is in a worse position. It is all relative.
10. The Law of Polarity This Law states that everything is on a continuum and has an opposite. We can suppress and transform undesirable thoughts by concentrating on the opposite pole. It is the law of mental vibrations.
11. The Law of Rhythm This Law states that everything vibrates and moves to certain rhythms. These rhythms establish seasons, cycles, stages of development, and patterns. Each cycle reflects the regularity of God’s universe. Masters know how to rise above negative parts of a cycle by never getting too excited or allowing negative things to penetrate their consciousness.
12. The Law of Gender This last out of the 12 universal Laws states that everything has its masculine (yang) and feminine (yin) principles, and that these are the basis for all creation. The spiritual Initiate must balance the masculine and feminine energies within herself or himself to become a Master and a true co-creator with God.
